Cuisine
Serbia
Serbian cooking is famous for grilled meats, rich braises, pickles and filo pastries. Bread, kajmak, cheese, ajvar or the spicy urnebes spread are almost always on the table, along with a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Ottoman and Central European influences meet here in paprika dishes, strudels and strong Turkish-style coffee.
