Cuisine
Brunei
Bruneian cooking is close to the Malay food of Malaysia and Indonesia: rice, fish, coconut milk, sambal and fragrant curries. Its most distinctive dish is ambuyat, a sago starch paste eaten together from one bowl with sour and spicy dips. Food is halal, and the most lavish spreads are prepared for Hari Raya.
