Cuisine
Samoa
Samoan food means taro, breadfruit, bananas, fish and coconut cream, which goes into almost everything. On Sunday after church families share to’ona’i, a generous meal from the umu earth oven with palusami, roast pork and fish. Also popular are oka, raw fish in coconut, and borrowed dishes such as sapasui (chop suey) and pisupo corned beef.
