Cuisine
Jordan
Jordanian cooking combines the Bedouin tradition of communal feasts with the food of the wider Levant. Lamb, rice, thin shrak bread and jameed – dried fermented yoghurt – play a central role. Everyday meals feature hummus, falafel and olives, and guests are welcomed with bitter cardamom coffee.
