Cuisine
Finland
Finnish cooking draws on forests and lakes: rye, freshwater fish and salmon, mushrooms, berries and dairy. The east shows Karelian and Russian influences, the west Swedish ones. Dark rye bread is the everyday loaf, and summer belongs to new potatoes, lake fish and fresh berries.
