Cuisine
Angola
Angolan cooking combines Bantu traditions with Portuguese and Brazilian influences. Its base is funge, a thick porridge of cassava or maize flour served with stews of fish, chicken and leafy greens, usually cooked in red palm oil. Along the long Atlantic coast fresh and dried fish dominate, and dishes are seasoned with garlic, lemon and fiery jindungo chillies.
