Cuisine
Oman
Omani cooking was shaped by the trade routes of the Indian Ocean, so it combines the traditions of the Arabian Peninsula with Indian spices and East African influences. Rice, fish, dates and gently spiced meat are eaten a lot. Guests are offered cardamom coffee, dates and Omani halwa, and the biggest feasts take place at Eid.
