Cuisine
Lithuania
Lithuanian cooking is built on potatoes, rye bread, dairy, wild mushrooms and pork, and its trademark is a family of hefty potato dumplings. Old manor-house traditions and a shared history with Poland mean that many dishes are known on both sides of the border. Summer belongs to cold soups and fresh garden vegetables.
